The pressure of stress can be incredibly overwhelming! We live in a very fast paced society, and there are so many things to be stressed about! This article focuses on how stress effects body. A little bit of stress can be good. It can motivate us to do better jobs, be more active, etc. But too much stress can be very bad for us. Specifically, I wanted to talk about the stress effect on the body. Too much stress can lead to medical problems. Weight gain/loss, high blood pressure tiredness, aches and pains, to name a few. Sometimes we think we have stress under control, but inside it is eating us alive! So what do you do? Take a step back from your life and evaluate. How often are you stressed out? What specific things in your lives are causing you stress? What can you do to help alleviate this a bit? Sometimes our fear can be our own worst enemy, being so much worse then the actual event itself. Breathe! Reach out, don’t be afraid to talk to others about your stress. We’ve all been there. Don’t place too high of an expectation on yourself. Cut yourself some slack. Take breaks from stressful situations. Too often, we have these tools in front of us and fail to use them. The stress affect on our body can be quite devastating. And sometimes we don't realize that until it is too late. Take control of this today!
